Collaboration between Bauerfeind and Bösl

Compression therapy

Bauerfeind AG will be working with Bösl Medizintechnik GmbH based in Aachen in the future.

Bösl Medizintechnik GmbH has been developing intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) devices to treat lymphatic disorders for almost 40 years. The company’s products are an integral part of complex decongestive therapy (CDT), which is used to reduce and control edema. The first step of the collaboration is a research project to investigate how improved monitoring of the individual condition of lymph patients impacts on treatment outcomes. In addition to Bauerfeind and Bösl, a clinic for vascular diseases, a manufacturer of compression bandages, a technical college focusing on measurement and sensor technology, and a company for industry and electric services are also involved.
