Don’t Compromise On Shoulder Brace Support

Your body deserves your utmost care and attention. When you’re in the market for a shoulder brace, no matter the reason, it’s imperative that you choose the right one for your body, your lifestyle, and your needs. We create shoulder supports for a variety of issues, such as:

  • Shoulder dislocation
  • Rotator cuff injuries
  • Pre and post-op recovery
  • Brachial strains
  • Tendon injuries
  • Fractures
  • And more
There are two main types of shoulder braces: immobilising braces and active supports. Immobilising braces work by keeping the shoulder joint firmly in place, which allows for the bone and the muscle to heal. This type of brace is most common for post-op recovery. Active supports, on the other hand, allow the shoulder to move while still providing support; this minimises risk of injury and speeds up the recovery process, typically with strapping and gel supports.

When should I use a shoulder brace?

Shoulder braces are best worn whenever you've sustained an injury to the shoulder and are recoverino, as well as to protect and prevent injury when engaging in higher-risk activities like rugby, hockey etc.

If you are suffering from Shoulder Osteoarthritis, a shoulder brace may help relieve the painful symptoms.

How does a shoulder brace work?

There are two main types of shoulder braces - an immoblising brace or an active support. Immobilising braces work by keeping the shoulder joint in place, allowing for the bone and muscle to heal. This is most common in the case of post-op recovery.

Active supports are designed to allow the shoulder to move while still supporting it, minimising the risk of injury and aiding the recovery process, usually with strapping and gel supports.

Can a shoulder brace help with rotator cuff injuries?

The rotator cuff is a group of muscles that wrap around the shoulder joint, keeping the arm and shoulder in place as it moves. Wearing a brace that bears the weight of the arm and keeps the joint in place while you move is the best way to support the rotator cuff. Bauerfeind's OmoTrain Shoulder Brace has been clinically designed to treat rotator cuff injuries.
