Description

The Sports Ankle Support provides stability to the ankle joint during intense activity, protecting against sprains and lateral twists.

The Sports Ankle Support features a breathable knitted fabric, consisting of ventilation zones, which allows for heat and sweat dissipation during exercise. Gradient compression is also engineered into the fabric to support muscle activity and assist with blood flow to the ankle joint, helping to reduce any swelling.

Similar to the MalleoTrain S ankle brace, the adjustable strap system featured in the Sports Ankle Support minimises the risk of sprains under increased stress. Ideal for athletes and individuals engaging in jumping activity and sports with start-stop situations.

We recommend using the MalleoTrain S or MalleoTrain Plus if you have an injury or existing ankle pain and the Sports Ankle Support if you are looking for prevention and stability without an existing injury.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different to the MalleoTrain Plus?

As opposed to the MalleoTrain Plus, the Sports Ankle Support has no gel inserts. Additionally it's made from a different weave that's more breathable and higher in compression, making it better for short use in a preventative manner.

Will this fit inside my sport shoes?

The slim design, lightweight material and anatomical fit mean that the Sports Ankle Support fits comfortably in even the most snug shoe. This one is great for soccer!

Will this prevent me from rolling my ankle?

The Sports Ankle Support minimises rolling of the ankle and guides the foot into a better movement. However the only way to fully prevent the ankle rolling is to fully immobilise it.

Do you wear this under or over socks?

This is best worn directly on skin under socks to get the most support.

Great product

Just finished soccer training and my ankle feels great. Could barely notice it and it remained solidly in position throughout the session. Might have to get a second one!

Great product and excellent service

I injured my right foot earlier this year and my friend recommended Bauerfeind Ankle Support to me. When I placed the order online, I accidentally chose the wrong size by mistake and only realized this when I received the product. I tried to send an email to request the exchange and received the feedback straight away, the instruction for return was very clear and easy to follow. I received the exchanged product within five days. The Ankle Support works really well in my training session. Greatly appreciate the excellent product and customer service. Will definitely come back again if I ever need any other sports protection products.

Excellent compression and support

Sports Ankle Supports have helped me with my hypermobility complexities and challenges while training, playing sport and recovering. They feel snug and comfortable, and the ankle strap is adjustable even after shoes have been put on.

I also have the MalleoTrain S Ankle Support. In comparison, the Sports Ankle Supports have more mesh for breathability, and a longer strap for more compression if needed.

Both the MalleoTrain S Ankle Support and the Sports Ankle Support and are great products in their own right, the latter option offers more breathability during high activity periods. I would suggest that if your hyper-mobility is distressing or uncomfortable that you continue to use both products in your routine - just to cover all bases necessary for increased prevention and pain management.
