Sprained Ankle Braces

Spraining your ankle isn't just common, it's virtually a rite of passage. From the more exciting reasons like sliding to score a goal for the team and twisting the ankle as you make the kick to win the game, to the less boast-worthy issues like stumbling on the gutter when you're a couple of drinks into Friday night, spraining your ankle is a familiar sensation to just about everyone.

Putting ice on the joint and resting it helps, but long-term, wearing a sprained ankle brace is what's going to help your recovery, and protect your ankle from further injury. Bauerfeind have a bunch of options for sprained ankle braces to help you out.

Find answers to the most common questions.

Do I really need a support for a sprain?

If you sprain your ankle just once, resting and icing it normally does the trick. But if it's happened repeatedly, then adding in a bit of extra support to the ankle helps prevent it happening again as well as restoring strength into the joint.

What makes these products better than others?

Simply put, Bauerfeind have set the global standard for medical braces, compression and insoles. Using the highest quality materials to construct decades-refined products that have been clinically proven to address a vast range of issues. There's no substitute for quality, and Bauerfeind have that from the simplest strap to the largest brace.

How long do they last?

Bauerfeind's high quality construction and design mean that all of our products go the distance, especially when cared for properly. Below is a rough outline of how long products last before they start to lose their effectiveness over time.

Compression Stockings - 6 to 9 months of daily wear

Braces & supports - 1 to two years of daily wear

Insoles - 9 to 12 months of daily wear

It's important to note that this is a rough guideline, and each person's usage and general care can change the longevity of the product either way

How do I take care of these products?

Virtually all of our products can be machine washed on a cold gentle cycle and air dried out of direct sunlight. Putting them on and taking them off carefully is recommended, and for specific product care, refer to the product manual or contact our friendly staff.

What is the warranty for these products?

All supports and insoles come with a 12 month warranty, and compression stockings with a 3 month warranty for any manufacturers faults. At any point if you've got issues with the product or aren't sure if something is wrong, just contact our helpful staff.

How do I know they'll fit?

Bauerfeind have an incredibly extensive sizing system for our products based off of hundreds of thousands of patient measurements. The perfect anatomic fit system we use means that the supports are designed to fit your body, not the other way around. (We also offer custom options for a range of our products for those rare few who still can't fit into our sizing range).
