Travel is one of the deep-seated desires of almost all people. The longing to explore new places, meet new people and experience different cultures can be exciting and engaging, even intoxicating. Whether it's a long trip on the train, a bus trip between far flung towns or a plane trip taking you to your long awaited destination, the joy of travel can be numbed by the discomfort and pain of leg swelling and vein pain.

Whilst all Bauerfeind garments are designed and engineered primarily for medical conditions with moderate to high levels of compression, they may be used as high-grade travel stockings.

Are these just for plane travel?

While plane travel is the main activity that compression stockings are helpful for in terms of travel, it's not by any means the only one. Long bus trips, road trips to another city or even state or an overnight train are among others just to name a few. They're also suited for working in the office or driving for work for all day wear.

Can I wear these all day?

Virtually all our medical supports are designed to be worn for any length of time, whether it's half an hour after exercise to recover the muscle, or first thing in the morning to last thing at night. 

How long do they last?

Bauerfeind's high quality construction and design mean that all of our products go the distance, especially when cared for properly. Below is a rough outline of how long products last before they start to lose their effectiveness over time.

Compression Stockings - 6 to 9 months of daily wear

Braces & supports - 1 to two years of daily wear

Insoles - 9 to 12 months of daily wear

It's important to note that this is a rough guideline, and each person's usage and general care can change the longevity of the product either way

How do I take care of these products?

Virtually all of our products can be machine washed on a cold gentle cycle and air dried out of direct sunlight. Putting them on and taking them off carefully is recommended, and for specific product care, refer to the product manual or contact our friendly staff.

Is there warranty for these products?

Every Bauerfeind product is crafted with precision and care and is covered by a manufacturing warranty in accordance with Consumer Law. Warranty periods may vary subject to product range. At any point if you've got issues with the product or aren't sure if something is wrong, just contact our helpful staff.

How do I know they'll fit?

Bauerfeind have an incredibly extensive sizing system for our products based off of hundreds of thousands of patient measurements. The perfect anatomic fit system we use means that the supports are designed to fit your body, not the other way around. (We also offer custom options for a range of our products for those rare few who still can't fit into our sizing range).
