Measure your waist circumference 1" below your belly button.
LordoLoc should feel snug and firm along your back but not constrictive. All Bauerfeind back braces have a 1 year warranty and qualify for our 30 day size exchange policy.
Whether it's relieving back pain from hunching at the desk or straightening up the back to take pressure off your spine, the LordoLoc Back Brace is great for lower back and posture pain. Using a slim anatomical fit that can be worn under your clothes at the office or with your gear on the worksite, it's perfect for virtually any lifestyle.
The LordoLoc has a special two part strap system to control exactly how much support and stability the spine gets. Four adjustable aluminium stays work to keep the spine supported in every position.
The LumboTrain and the LordoLoc back brace both provide support and stabilisation for the lumbar spine. The LordoLoc differs from LumboTrain in providing stabilisation to the lumbar spine region and lumbosacral junction through higher rigidity.
Flexible aluminium strips located at the back provide correct support for posture and gentle stabilisation of the lumbar spine region. There is an additional elastic tension strapping system to provide greater stabilising effect.
The LordoLoc back brace aids in supporting the lumbar spinal region whereas the SacroLoc targets the sacroiliac joints which focuses on supporting the pelvic region.
The LordoLoc should be used to treat acute or chronic lower back pain whereas the SacroLoc suits conditions such as SI joint syndrome, SI joint blockage and pelvic girdle instability.
The mode of action of the LordoLoc is via aluminium strips located at the back of the brace which act to provide rigidity and support, whereas the SacroLoc has two massaging pads which provide circular massaging movement to the back muscles during movement.
Both the LumboLoc and the LordoLoc back brace use four aluminium stays at the back to provide support and stabilisation to the lumbar spine area.
The LumboLoc uses curved stays to provide support to the lower vertebrae. It can be used to correct posture, spinal insufficiencies such as spondylosis and facet syndrome.
The LordoLoc uses straightened stays to cover a larger area of the back and provide support to the lumbar spine and lumbosacral junction. The LordoLoc can also aid with posture correction and relief from lower back pain.
The LordoLoc back brace is best worn in direct contact with skin. It is not recommended to wear the LordoLoc over your clothing, however it can be worn over a T-shirt. The material is lightweight and breathable which provides a high degree of comfort when worn in direct contact with the skin.
Medically necessary back braces are covered under the durable medical equipment (DME) prefabricated orthotics benefit, however your medicare-approved physician must prescribe the back brace to receive the rebate.
Bauerfeind Australia is currently not an official supplier of Medicare, so you will not be able to receive the 80% rebate from Medicare. Certain private health insurance providers cover Bauerfeind back braces which are prescribed by a physician, please contact your health insurance provider to find out.
Our back braces can be worn while sleeping if you require stabilisation of the spine during your sleep. However, back braces are recommended to be worn during daily activity or during sporting activity to provide support during movement.
