Features
PROTECTIVE SHELL AND STRAPS

The MalleoLoc L’s anatomically shaped L shell is positioned on the lower leg, sitting in front of the lateral malleolus, and extending slightly across the instep. 

  • Fastened at the lower leg and the foot using two non-elastic Velcro straps. This means the orthosis protects the ankle from incorrect movements which may cause recurring sprains. The foot’s natural heel-to-toe movement is supported. 
  • If required, you can attach a small functional cushion (plantar pad) on the sole of the foot. During walking, its counter-pressure stimulates the muscles that are responsible for lifting the foot, contributing to the active stabilisation of the ankle for better coordination during everyday activities.

Description

The MalleoLoc L Ankle Brace is perfect for preventing the ankle rolling, using a comfortably padded lateral splint to take pressure off the ligament and stabilise the joint. Pain relief comes with this support, as the ankle itself has minimised strain while it's braced.

Made in a universal size to fit literally any ankle, the splint itself is lightweight and anatomically shaped to ensure there's no rolling or twisting of the ankle. A firm fit that stays in place during movement is ensured with the two strap system, one to stabilise the ankle, the other to anchor it to the lower leg. Finally, a breathable padding lines the whole support so you can comfortably wear the brace all day without issue.

Will the plastic shell irritate or dig into my skin?

The MalleoLoc has a comfortable foam lining that contours to shape of your ankle for easy all day wear.

Does this fit into a shoe?

With contoured shaping and lightweight design, it's great for wear in your shoes to get moving on a walk, hike or playing sports.

Can I wear this during sleep?

While the MalleoLoc can be worn during sleep, it's only recommended in cases where there is strain (dislocation, subluxation, fracture recovery etc).

Malleoloc L

So pleased to find something that helps ease the pain in my leg when walking which I have put up with for the past 15 years. I have mild drop foot following three spinal surgeries to my L5 S1 & have tried an AFO with some relief but the Malleoloc L gives me so much more relief & is comfortable to wear with shoes.

We can imagine that a 15 year battle with this type of pain has not been easy, so for you to have found a product that has worked for you must be relieving. Whilst traditional AFO's are great in some circumstances, they are often bulky and uncomfortable for day-to-day wear. The Malleloc L still provides a padded lateral splint to take pressure off the ligament and stabilise the joint, with a more lightweight and anatomical design.

Best I've tried so far.

I have foot drop 2-3/5, and this brace is the only one I've tried so far which helps me walk without too much difficulty and has not caused any skin breakdown, pretty comfortable, and fits in some of my regular shoes at least. Just having this foot drop for such a short time and knowing how prevelant it is I'm very surprised at how few comfortable practical options there are in AFO's. The price is also excellent considering its function.
