I recommend you provide a sock for the other foot with each Achillo Ankle support so both ankles look the same in shoes.

Helped ease the pain

After wearing The AchilloTrain Ankle Support, I can comfortably say that this product did exactly that! Offer support to my Achilles as I am having a flare-up with Achilles Tendinitis. I've had this issue for months now and the pain can be quite debilitating. But I have seen improvement in the pain since wearing The AchilloTrain Ankle Support. Before wearing this support, the daily pain level fluctuated from a 7-9 but now most days its a manageable 2-4, and the pain comes and goes, not constant as it previously was. The only thing is that I measured my ankle at the narrowest part and based the size of my purchase on what they suggest would be the right fit, but I should have bought the size down to make it a more snug fit as the heavy material is stretchy. But if one suffers from oedema as I do, then the larger size accommodates for those times the oedema occurs. I was impressed by the quality as this product is very well made and feels like a more expensive support, whereas I have purchased other support items that were similar in price, and they are flimsy and lightweight by comparison. It seems a product of this quality has been developed based on medical studies and clinical findings, as the results I have experienced speak for themselves. Therefore, I have no hesitation in recommending this product. It has been well worth the investment.

What is the best ankle brace for treating pain in the Achilles tendon?

The Achilles tendon is located on the back of the lower leg, connecting the calf muscles to the heel bone. We recommend wearing the AchilloTrain to treat Achilles tendon problems such as:

  • Achillodynia is the condition where the Achilles tendon is painful due to the inflammation of the Achilles tendon (Achilles tendinitis/ tendinosis or paratendinitis).
  • Achilles bursa (Achilles tendon bursitis).
  • Chronic pain in the Achilles tendon that is caused due to rupturing of the Achilles tendon, microtears in the Achilles area or post-operation.

What is a good ankle brace for Haglunds deformity?

Haglund’s deformity is a condition where the bone at the back of the heel enlarges. When the bony enlargement rubs against the shoe surface on a daily basis, it irritates the Achilles tendon. This causes inflammation and pain of the bursa (a fluid-filled sac which cushions the ankle bone and tendon) known as ankle bursitis.
