For those travelling interstate for a weekend trip, heading overseas for holidays or hopping from plane to plane for work and business, swelling, circulation changes and long periods seated still can make for discomfort and other health issues. Wearing flight socks has been shown to alleviate the symptoms and keep your veins working properly particularly if you have any existing conditions.

Whilst Bauerfeind compression stockings are primarily designed for medical conditions with moderate to high-grade compression, they may be used as a travel companion.

How long do they last?

Bauerfeind's high quality construction and design mean that all of our products go the distance, especially when cared for properly. Below is a rough outline of how long products last before they start to lose their effectiveness over time.

Compression Stockings - 6 to 9 months of daily wear

Braces & supports - 1 to two years of daily wear

Insoles - 9 to 12 months of daily wear

It's important to note that this is a rough guideline, and each person's usage and general care can change the longevity of the product either way

Should I only wear these on flights?

Whether it's an international flight to England, a road trip from Canberra to Brisbane or an overnight train or bus down to Melbourne, our flight socks are suitable for so much more than just air travel.

Can I wear these all day?

Virtually all our medical supports are designed to be worn for any length of time, whether it's half an hour after exercise to recover the muscle, or first thing in the morning to last thing at night. 

How do I take care of these products?

Virtually all of our products can be machine washed on a cold gentle cycle and air dried out of direct sunlight. Putting them on and taking them off carefully is recommended, and for specific product care, refer to the product manual or contact our friendly staff.

Is there warranty for these products?

Every Bauerfeind product is crafted with precision and care and is covered by a manufacturing warranty in accordance with Consumer Law. Warranty periods may vary subject to product range. At any point if you've got issues with the product or aren't sure if something is wrong, just contact our helpful staff.

How do I know they'll fit?

Bauerfeind have an incredibly extensive sizing system for our products based off of hundreds of thousands of patient measurements. The perfect anatomic fit system we use means that the supports are designed to fit your body, not the other way around. (We also offer custom options for a range of our products for those rare few who still can't fit into our sizing range).
